So you want to know more about me, the owner and creator of this website?

Well, I am Ralf J. Klumb, live in Yorkshire in the United Kingdom. I came here in 1999 with my family after having left Berlin behind us. We experienced the massive change in Germany after the fall of the wall – I believe that we were among the first West-Germans and Britons to go into East Berlin in the night of November 9^th, 1989! It was an exciting time.
But time goes on, and ten years later after several ups and downs we decided to start a new life in England, where my wife originates from. And we do not regret our decision! (Sorry, Germany!) 

As you can see from the contents of this site I offer translation services, and am very interested in the history of the Klumb family. This hobby started in the late 1970’s, when I stumbled over some old papers on my parents’ loft. And from then it carried on in little steps until now with the help from the internet I am able to link up to my ancestors as far back as 1653. You can find me here (no. 458)!
