As a child I played a lot with our big Märklin HO-layout in my parents’ house. But then I left it behind, when I moved to Berlin - and despite my wife’s words, when our first child was born, “look, it’s a boy; now you can have your model railway!”, it took another nine years to get started!

So now I am building a layout in N-scale - in the livingroom, would you believe it? The baseboard is up, and the first part of the spiral to take the trains up from the “shadow station” underground is finished - just need to add some more rails! Alongside I am building a bridge (look for product no. 6620) to span over the station area.

Once finished it is supposed to be a German setting in the 1960’s, still with steam engines, and also diesels. I will refrain from using electric engines though.

As I progress I am aiming to include a picture gallery on this website. So return for more! This project has come to a temporary halt - more later!
